30S foregrounds the autonomous and anonymous space of architectural production for the Venice Biennale.
The installation addresses the themes of the 2010 Venice Biennale, suggesting that, while “people meet in architecture”, the architect often operates in environments uncannily devoid of interpersonal contact. Inviting architects to submit video of their own workspaces to include in this crowdsourced video installation, the project lingers in the private space of the architect. A continuous stream of user-generated content was projected from an installation-specific web-based video channel, acting as a clearinghouse for 30-second clips of static-shot digital video.
